Last updated: July 3, 2026

Draft pending legal review. This document is a working draft and has not yet been reviewed by counsel. Do not treat it as final or binding until it has been reviewed and approved.

The short version

Slide lets you share moments, photos, and the money woven through them. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Content that violates these rules is removed, accounts are terminated, and illegal content is preserved and reported to the authorities. By using Slide you agree to these rules.

Content that is never allowed

You may not post, upload, share, or store any content that:

  • Sexually exploits or endangers childrenin any way. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is illegal and absolutely prohibited. We report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement, and we preserve the relevant content as required by law.
  • Is sexual content, nudity, or pornography, or that sexualizes any person without their consent.
  • Depicts or promotes violence, gore, self-harm, or threats against any person or group.
  • Harasses, bullies, or intimidates another person, including hate speech or content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or age.
  • Shares another person's private or intimate images without their consent, or exposes private information (doxxing).
  • Is illegal, promotes illegal activity, or facilitates fraud, scams, money laundering, or the sale of regulated or illegal goods.
  • Infringessomeone else's intellectual property or other rights, or impersonates another person or entity.
  • Is spam, malware, or content designed to disrupt, deceive, or exploit the service or its users.

Money misuse that is never allowed

Slide never moves money itself, but payment requests and splits are still part of the service. You may not:

  • Send fraudulent or fictitious payment requests, misrepresent what a request is for, or request money from people who were not part of the expense.
  • Use Slide to request payment for illegal goods or services, or to facilitate scams, money laundering, or deceptive schemes.
  • Use the moments feed or comments to solicit money from people outside your own shared expenses.
  • Game the referral program or leaderboard, including fake accounts, self-referrals, or automated signups. Referral rewards earned this way are forfeited, and the accounts involved may be terminated.

What these rules are about

These rules exist to protect people and to keep illegal content off Slide. They are not meant to police ordinary, lawful content. Everyday photos, humor, and lawful nature or wildlife content (including natural animal behavior) are allowed and will not be removed simply for what they depict. When a report is reviewed, the question is whether the content exploits or harms a person or breaks the law, not whether it is unusual or in poor taste.

How we enforce these rules

  • Automated screening. Images uploaded to Slide are screened for prohibited content before they are shown to others. Content that fails screening is blocked and is not displayed.
  • Reporting. Every photo and user can be reported from inside the app. You can also email us (see Reporting below).
  • Review and removal. Reported and flagged content is reviewed promptly. Content that violates this policy is removed.
  • Account action. We may warn, suspend, or permanently terminate accounts that violate this policy, at our discretion and without prior notice for serious violations. If you believe we got it wrong, email us and we will take another look.
  • No obligation to monitor. We do not review everything posted to Slide and have no obligation to monitor user content, but we reserve the right to review and remove any content at any time.
  • Legal reporting and preservation. We report apparent child sexual exploitation to NCMEC and cooperate with law enforcement. We preserve related content and records as required by law.

Blocking other users

You can block another user at any time from their profile. Blocking hides their content from you and yours from them. Blocking is in addition to reporting, not a replacement for it. If you see something that violates this policy, please report it.

Reporting a problem

To report content or a user inside the app, use the report option on the photo, the post, or the user's profile. To report something urgently, or to reach our safety team directly, email ro@useslideapp.com. If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product and the law evolve. We'll update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Slide after a change means you accept the updated policy.
